New years resolutions!

I never really do new years resoloutions but i though new start to the year why don't i make some up for myself so i have and these are the main 2 i have come up with =)

1. To save as much money as i can (lol)

i am really bad at saving i mean my money comes in and goes out just as fast it silly and i need to be more responsible and manage my money better.....

(advice to all my young blog readers) - please don't be like me save save save!!!!!!!!

2. To eat healthier

I have realised when i am at home i hardly eat but when i'm work sometimes i get stressed out or am on my feet all the time so i tend to eat a lot more junk especially fast food so i am going to limit myself and try to have a healthier diet! How much of it i can keep up i don't know =)

My top picks of 2012

So i'm going to go through my favourite 2012 makeup items that i have been loving and using throughout the year of 2012 =)

Lipstick - i have been loving mac's patisserie lipstick, its a lustre and i love it and i will def be buying a back up!!!!

Lip-gloss - well i don't class this as a proper lip-gloss but i'll add it on this section anyway and its
Nyx in San paulo i adore this shade it just gives such a pretty colour to the lips and for me doesn't dry my lips up but the best thing about this is in pictures the colour comes out beautiful! i always get compliments when i wear this.....

Blush - Milani red vino! its long lasting on my skin and leaves a glowy flushed colour to my cheeks i wish they did these in the UK i would go and buy all of these blushes...

Eye shadow -  i have been using my naked palette a lot...

Mascara - Rimmel volume flash mascara

concealer - i use two to get the right shade for me mac pro long wear concealer in nc30 and nc35 and as the name suggests its def long wearing for me it also covers the horrible dark circles i have.

Foundation - i use mac studio fix powder foundation in nc30 and i love this stuff it just makes my face look flawless and lasts pretty well while i'm at work..

( only on special occasions do i use liquid foundation)

What makeup do i have on my list for 2013?

well i would love to try a lot more different brand makeup like bobby brown and lancome i also would like to buy ruby woo from mac and more lustre finishes lipsticks as they are my favourite!

    Bedtime reads!!!

So those of u who read my blog will know im on holiday from work which means - late nights!!!! Wooooohooo!!!

So i've started reading again, when i was at secondary school i use to read alot!!! 0I would finish reading thick books in a day be up reading while mun was sleeping ( yep i use to slp with mum) and i use to make regular trips to my local library!!!

As i have grown older i find i dont have the time to read i work full time when im home from work i eat sit with the fam and am so knackered that i fall asleep soo since i have a opportunity to stay up late i thought why not indulge in books again...

The books im reading at the moment are sequels so i advice u all to read the first book which is called princesses its a story real account of a saudi princess who grows up living in the palace, the hardship she had to go through what she experienced etc.. Its a great read it really makes the reader feel priviliged to be 'free' in some way...

So the book continues with the pricess fighting for women rights and how her children grow up etc

If ur in the library next go pick it up and read the blurb if u like it take it home to read you wont b dissapointed :)

Are there any books you all would recommend me to read?! Please comment below as i would love to check them out xxxx

Ps ive posted what my books look like! I think the cover in itself makes thr books intriguing!

Scott barnes face to face makeup book

I love makeup books jus as i like collectin makeup i like collecting makeup books.

I have the scott barnes about face makeup book it has jlo on the front cover and i think its a nice book to own quite informative nice pictures but the new edition face to face im not keen on.
I find it has more celebrities in it with their opinions on the makeup artist how they met and the life story of re celebritys which is ok but sometimes gets too much! There isnt enough step by step information on make up looks its more like a biography type i feel thats my opnion....

There are certain things addressed in the book like how to get flawless skin and what products can b used which i think is helpfull i jus wish there was more of it..

    Out of 10 i give this book a 4..

I guess i bought it because the stunning picture of kim kardashian her makeup looks beautiful but wasnt that impressed with the contents of the book however it will be one to keep in my collection...

    Mac eyeshadow palette

So this is my first ever eyeshadow palette from mac i tried to get neutral colours so they are wearable and as its my first paletter didnt really want to experiment with bold colours incase i dont wear them alot..

They eyeshadows i have( not in order of pix) are:

    Ricepaper
    Naked lunch
    Black tied
    Print
    Expensive pink
    Gorgeaus gold
    Electra
    Tempting
    Henna
    Retro speck

If you recommend any more please let me know ive got my eyes on woodwinked, mulch, patina and all that glitters.

I personally dont think these eyeshadows are a must i mean drugstore eyeshadows work jus as well these days and are jus as pigmented and good quality as this high end ones but as i love collecting makeup i had to get at least one palette but if your on a tight budget dont think you need to fork out for this.

Foundation review no 7 matching service

Picking out a foundation in the perfect shade is hard i mean you have to know what undertone u are how shop lighting affects ur colour does the foundation oxidize or sometimes the ppl at the counter match u totally wrong!

So when i heard about the custom fit machine at the boots no 7 counter that matches a color to your skin to your closest color i was excited so i went to a nearby boots to be matched..

The lady at the counter was nuce but i felt she didnt really ask me any questions about what type of skin i had eg dry oily etc! She just got the machine and left it on my cheek for a bit and matched me to 2 colors  She said one side is beige and the other side was cool beige so she tried it a second time and again it came with two colours so i asked her what colour do u think is better suited to me she said beige so i went along with that thinking your the expert she also sold me the stay perfect foundation a long lasting foundation.

I paid £14 for the foundation.

As i walked out i got a leaflet that was there its basically gives u info about the different foundations and what the lady at the counter should ask you i read it on the bus and was disappointed in that the lady never asked me the type of skin i had and so she sold me the wrong foundation to me as per reference to the leaflet i was feeling like i wasted £14 down the drain and i hadn't even tried the product!!! To make myself feel better i kept telling myself she works at the counter she does know more then me to wait and give the foundation a go before thinking negatively!

I went home and cleaned and moisturized my face and used the foundation.

It went on okay and blended in well too but the colour was all wrong!!!!!!

It looked horrible and ashy made my dry skin worse my foundation didn't look smooth at all it just looked horrible !! I was so dissapointed that i went with the lady i should have just done what i usually do and that is research blogs and reviews in you tube and matched myself to the colour and foundation i think i would have done a better job!!!!!

So the conclusion to this story is do te research get the leaflet read it and then go to the lady so u have some idea on what u want an then after the lady tells u decide weather or not you should buy it because it will save u £14!!!!

    Am feeling really gutted lol

    Haul!!!

Since i have been on holiday (from work) havn't really had a chance to go out because it's been so called that i havn't felt like it so i thought i just because i can't go out doesn't mean that i can't shop lol!

So holding my warm green lemon tea i started shopping!

Of course all the products i bought were things i wanted and had researched on my trusty youtube reviews except the two nailpolishes

Im loving my dkny wallet - postives are it was in the sale £42 something i think from £65 so i knew i had to buy it! I actually bought my sister a similar one previously in the red/grain and i knew i liked that colour so i got that colour for myself..

The only negative thing was that its pockets for the cards are a bit hard ti slot them in, i'm hoping over time they will loosen up other then that its alovley item and i think it would make a lovley christmas present or any present at any time of the year/occasion.

Ted baker washbag in small- i bought this from house of fraiser just like the dkny wallet it was on sale from £25 to £20 so i bought it too, its a lovley pale pink with a brozey bow and i loovvveee this washbag!!! Not only is it really pretty its big enough for my mac compact mirror and blush without having to worry about it getting crushed. It would b easy to clean as its a pvc type material again a lovely gift idea!!!

No wonder i get sucked into buying around this time of year because all the pretty items come out and the sales lol

Other items i bought were the remmington pearl wand from amazon about £17 which is damn cheap compared to other places! I bought this as i have thick hair and i have a few curlers like the treseme one anf the babyliss hot rollers but i find they dont curl my hair properly its badically useless so after reading the reviews i thought id give this a try..

Stila makeupbrushes- every christmas they have lovley gift sets on make up brushes so i thought id buy a set i saw the stila brush set on boots for £20 for 5 or 6 brushes i think so i bought them the thing that attracted me to this makeup brush was 2 brushes the dime shaped ones obe is for eyes and the other one says foundation but i may use it for contouring lets see..

2 on implus buys which were from boots not online were the nail polishes nails inc st james a red colour and my first essie nailpolish in chubby cheeks!!!! Im excited to try these ill maybe show u when i do put them on but i have my eye on te glitter nailpolishes now so they r bect on my list!!!

Hope i enjoyed this post xxx

    Loreal eyeshadows

Once i was getting ready to go out to a wedding and needed a blue eyeshadow my sister in law passes me her makeup bag and there i found a beautiful loreal eyeshadow not blue but a creamish colour!!

I used it for my inner conners and lids and it looked sooo pretty!!!

I actually didnt think much of it at first seeing it in the makeup bag but then started liking it and now i love the colour payoff and the effect it gives i actually bought more and want all the colours for my collection!!!!!

I would recommend them they are well pigmented good texture and not that expensive especailly wen u get them 3 for 2 at boots or superdrugs!!!

    Beauty in a box

I have been on the hunt for a nice looking bangle box for ages to store my beautiful growing collection and sonething big enough to fit most of the bangles in!!!

I used to store my bangles in the clear bangle box but i just didnt like it because the inside rolls kept breaking so when i went down to green st ( this is the place to go if u want to buy anything indian bangles sarees and kamizes) i looked for one, all the shops i usually go to like bombey looks and glitters were selling bangle box with 6 rolls in it but they had changed the design it had small 6 rolls in 2 rows 3 in each section! I couldnt buy that becausr longer rolls equals more bangles to fit!!!

So i kept searching till i came across this shop that was sellin exactly what i wanted a beautiful golden bangle box with 6 long rolls!!!!

It was priced at £30 but as it was weekday and not many customers in the shop i bargained it down to £25 and i loooooove this box!
As soon as i came home i arraged all my bangles nicley and they all fit just about!!!! If i add more to my bangles ill def need another one of these boxes!!!

Also because i have a small room i put the box above my wadrobe and it looks really pretty!

What do u dolls think about the end product?!

    👌something different!

I know this is mainly a beauty blog but i couldn't help but put this in too..

The fam and i were looking for places to eat on a saturday night and we chose a place called sahara grill down ilford.

I had heard great reviews about this place and the food from my friends and thought i must check it out myself!!!

The place itself was very nice we went in the evening so the ambience was lovly and calming the decor had what i would say a middle eastern feel too it lovley low lighting with those beautiful lamps ( you will know what i mean when u see the pics) just a welcoming feel to it!

As we came in we were greated very politly and asked to wait as it was packed out!!!! We waited avout 5 min which wasnt bad at all and the waiting place had comfy seating area..

Sahara grill as the name suggests is a grill place so we ordered a variety o things steaks with salad and chips chops with chips and chicken wings ! The food came hot and lovley presented and it was delicious!!! Everyone in my family was happy with the food and gobbled it up quiet quick!! We also had desserts but i wouldnt really recommend the desserts because ive been to better places that offer more variety but regardless of that i love this place and food!!!!

The bill was a little expensive but totally worth it as it was tasty food lovley enviroment and great service!!!

I would recommend the place to anyone who can travel to ilford to check it out!!!
